Exciting changes coming to Chamber

We're delighted to share some news about an exciting development at the Chamber office – we’ve been listening to you and working on a project we think you are going to love.

A New Co-Working Space, Coming This Autumn
Over the summer, we’ll be transforming our first floor and basement into a professionally planned co-working space, developed in partnership with POS Interiors - a consultancy-led workplace partner working across Guernsey and Jersey. Designed around the different ways members need to work during the day, the space will provide a balanced mix of settings for focused work, private conversations, meetings and collaboration, including:

• Acoustic meeting pods for private calls and small meetings
• Height-adjustable workstations for focused, comfortable work
• An acoustic phone booth for private calls
• Open meeting booths and a collaboration area with interactive screens, ideal for informal catch-ups or small team sessions
•  Comfortable touch-down spaces, including drop-in hot desks and a welcome area

What This Means for Members

The good news is that a core set of touch-down spaces - including drop-in hotdesks, open meeting booths and our welcome area -  will be free to use as part of your Chamber membership, available on a first-come, first-served basis, no booking required.

For members who want more certainty and flexibility, we'll also be introducing bookable spaces charged per half-day session, available either pay-as-you-go or through an optional annual co-working subscription at £200/year, which gives members advance booking access across all bookable spaces within fair-use limits. Non-members will also be able to book sessions on a pay-as-you-go basis.

How the partnership works
This partnership brings together the Chamber’s understanding of its members and POS Interiors’ consultancy-led workplace expertise. POS developed the original concept and is leading the project through workplace consultancy, design, project leadership, supply and installation, ensuring the space works as one coordinated environment rather than a collection of individual products.

Once open, the space will provide a practical member benefit while also serving as a real-world example of how a considered workplace strategy can support focus, privacy and collaboration. The Chamber will retain operational control of the co-working service, while POS may occasionally use the space to help clients experience different workplace settings and ideas in practice.

What Happens Next
Over the summer, we'll be carrying out the renovation works and testing our new booking system behind the scenes. This autumn, we're aiming for a full launch - with all spaces, bookings and subscriptions live
